Grammy nominated Dallas, Texas singer-songwriter reigns in new single “Do Not Answer”.
It amazes me how many young women are consistently stepping up and taking charge of R&B today. Brains, beauty, heartache and a pen is all you would say a songwriter needs like Tayla Parx. Her placements with Ariana Grande, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and more just proves it’s time to begin her solo career. Today with the production help from The Tracksons, she delivers a summer anthem that we all can relate to called “Do Not Answer“.
She delights us with her saintly voice over a Stevie Wonder infused sample springing into issues of avoiding the ex. “Don’t go throwing all your sorries down my wishing well / Cause I wish you well / But farewell / Cause I remember when you use to call me on the first train I was there / Now you just another dude / Filling up my voice mail” sings Tayla. It’s not confirmed what her new EP will be called, but we’re crossing our fingers for Tayla Made.
