London singer-songwriter/rapper Courtney Bennett floats warm melodies on new record Motives.

Courtney Bennett is new to SNY, but we think she may well be on everyone’s radar with her ornery rap flows and realistic tales of love.  Although there aren’t too many artists on our radar from the U.K., this simple yet head bopping arrangement produced by Sarom, is worth sharing to our readers.  “Can’t believe I let you come and get the best of me / Held you down when you was out so faithfully / Tell me what was it for / Go ahead and walk out the door / Love don’t live here no more / I don’t want you no more“, sings Courtney.  With summer love coming to an end shortly “Motives” is perfect for the broken-hearted.
